Hats, sunglasses and sun-block lotions are necessary for protection against the Mediterranean burning bright sun. Mosquito repellents could be a relief for the hot summer nights if you are staying out late. Sleeping bags could be useful if you would like to spend your summer evenings outside, on the beach or under a pine tree. Waking up to the brilliant Mediterranean sky is almost like a resurrection.

Binoculars would also be a good idea to watch the local fishing boats, flocks of birds passing by or the summit of Mt. Tahtali. Flashlights can be useful.
A camera to capture the beauty of the nature, the spectacular mountain views and especially to photograph the full-moon rising. The full-moon rises from within the sea in the summer season, and the view is so spectacular and enchanting that one cannot easily forget. Swimming at a moon-lit night is also awesome, the plays of light on the surface of the Mediterranean and the will-o'-the-wisp as you move your hands in the water are just feasts of scenery. At Sundance, feeling yourself in a fairy tale is that simple. |
Knowing what to pack is always a difficult call. You might only need tennis shoes, regular light weight hiking boots with some traction and sandals for the beach. If you are visiting during the rainy season, a pair of boots would be suitable in case you are going somewhere where you would be encountering mud. Cheap plastic boots are easy to obtain at the local hardware store in Tekirova in case you need them. Please check out the yearly weather information by clicking here.

What else?
Dress code is completely informal. You can wear shorts and sandals for dinner if you like. No ties, coats or formal clothing is really necessary. You are encouraged to bring lightweight, casual daily clothing, something warm to wear for cooler nights, a bathing suit, sturdy shoes or hiking boots if you are planning on going for long walks. The morning walks, especially, is a perfect time to catch unforgettable scenes, and to collect the energy of life. |
