Why we are ?

Sundance Nature Village is not simply a holiday resort. It is, rather, a lifestyle as well as a philosophy. We believe that close contact with nature is essential to relieve stress, and to rediscover a sense of self. Our philosophy also requires that we, at Sundance, present a responsible attitude towards the use of resources and nature in general.

We offer no phones or TV's in the bungalows and tree houses —but you may communicate using bird language or cricket sounds! and watch the stars at night around the bonfire by the bar! The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, mostly using home-grown vegetables from the vegetable garden or the green-house. Trekking, hiking, taking tours, watching the enchanting scenery, snorkeling, swimming, sun tanning at our private beach, horseback riding, going fishing, reading, relaxing or doing just 'nothing' will be among your daily routine... We also prepare workshops on different subjects.

We are living in pure harmony with plants and animals in Sundance Nature Village. Therefore, the scene in this picture is not so unusual to run into. While having your breakfast, one of our horses walking-by may just say hello or while having a sip from your tea in front of your bungalow, a passing-by duck family may decide to join you.

We, at Sundance, use energy in a sustainable fashion. Hot water is obtained by utilizing solar panels. Tap-water is supplied fresh and chlorine free from our wells and is sweet to taste.

You will find food prepared with fresh vegetables which we grow in our vegetable garden. Eggs come daily from our poultry or from the local village to serve you a hormone-free breakfast. Traditional and international foods are prepared daily in the true home-cooking style. Home-made yogurt, jam, pickles, and olives from the garden are served as frequently as possible. Meals rotate daily, focusing on fresh fruits and vegetables along with local fish, chicken and meat. Fish is served on an availability basis from the local fishermen.

Location

Situated in a secluded beach-front within a private bay of its own on the beautiful, tranquil Mediterranean Sea, Sundance Nature Village was one of the first places to offer accommodation in Tekirova, located only 15 minutes away from Kemer and 60 km south-west of Antalya. On the farside of the secluded cove lies the ancient Lycian city of Phaselis, one of the historical places of Antalya and is only a 20 minute walk away.

Spread over 120 acres of Mediterranean land —one of the last examples of non-polluted coastal property— Sundance Nature Village has kept its natural beauty with its quiet and peaceful atmosphere. One is deeply immersed in the diversity of a pine forest setting surrounded by the sea. There are breath-taking mountain views on the West, ever changing with the rays of the approaching sun. The absence of city-light pollution renders an expansive brilliant night sky, making sky watching nights quite romantic. The area is untouched by any commercial development. The atmosphere and the environment here still carry the traces of known history dating as far back as the 7th Century B.C.

Sundance faces the East. The sun rising from the sea through the misty Mediterranean is another romantic atmosphere you can catch... Looking at this picture does not mean you are now capturing the full meaning of this dramatically beautiful moment. You must actually be in the picture itself!

But watch your back! While observing the sunrise, also remember to catch the beautiful colors and the plays of light taking place on the face of Mt. Tahtali (Mt. Olympos). You cannot easily decide which way to look, can you?
